Refacing
Also called: Cabinet refacing, Refinishing, Resurfacing

Two different jobs that get sold under one heading. Refacing replaces the doors and drawer fronts and covers the visible faces of the existing boxes, so the layout stays and the look changes completely. Refinishing keeps the existing doors and changes their colour or coating. Both are advertised as a new kitchen at a fraction of the price, and they have different costs, different timelines and different results — so the quote should name which one it is.
