Reveal
Also called: Gap, Frame reveal

The strip of frame or box left visible around a closed door or drawer front. How much reveal a design carries decides how forgiving the installation is: a generous reveal absorbs an out-of-square wall, while a tight one shows every millimetre of it and turns a normal old house into a difficult day.
