The two numbers that describe a pressure washer: pounds per square inch is the force at the nozzle, gallons per minute is how much water it moves. Flow largely determines how fast a surface gets clean and rinsed, while pressure is what cuts — and what damages. Buying on the PSI figure alone is the common mistake.
