A visit from the authority that issued the permit to confirm the work meets code before it is covered up or put into use. Inspections are the reason rough-in is a milestone: what is behind the drywall has to be seen before the drywall goes on. Book them into the schedule as real appointments, because a failed or missed inspection stops the trades behind you as well as you.
