They arrive by text from the phone the crew already has

A photo sent to your crew number is filed against the job that person is on, and whatever they typed with it is added to the visit rather than replacing the note that is already there.

Start, progress, finish or problem

The label is inferred from the words in the message — problem words beat finish words, finish beats start, and anything unrecognised is progress. It is a starting point, and always yours to change.

You decide what a stranger sees

Nothing is public until you feature it, and a problem photo is refused rather than silently dropped, so you never wonder why it did not appear.

Four labels, not free text
Start, progress, finish and problem. A closed list, so a gallery can be built out of it and no photo ends up in a category of one.
A problem photo cannot be featured
Trying is refused with the reason and the fix — change the label first — rather than accepted and quietly skipped.
What a caption may be
Up to two hundred characters. Clearing it stores nothing rather than an empty string, and a change with nothing in it is refused instead of counting as a save.
Looking and publishing are different rights
Seeing the job's photos and choosing which appear on your website are separate levels, so a coordinator can look without publishing.
What may be sent up
Photos to fifteen megabytes, video to a hundred, documents to twenty-five. Uploads are signed on our side and require you to be signed in — never an open door on the internet.
