The clock is either running or it is not, and today's total is on the screen while it runs.

How it works here

One button, and a timer that agrees with it

In and out are the same button. Today's total blends the hours already booked with the time still running, so the figure matches the timer above it instead of jumping when you stop.

Rounded once, the same way everywhere

Hours are rounded when the clock stops, in exactly the rounding a hand-entered timesheet uses, so payroll reads one number whichever way the entry was made.

It says what is wrong instead of doing nothing

Somebody who is not set up as a worker is told so, and told where an admin fixes it. Clocking in twice, or out when you were never in, is refused with the reason.

Record-keeping only
No location, no boundary, no check-in photo, no break or overtime maths on this screen, and no money. What it does is record when somebody started and when they stopped.
One clock at a time
Clocking in while already in is refused, and so is clocking out when nothing is running. Both say which it is.
The clock belongs to whoever is signed in
There is no way to name somebody else, so nobody can be clocked in from the passenger seat.
No job is asked for here
A punch from this screen is a record of the day rather than a line in one job's cost.
Entries start as pending
Nothing counts until it is approved. Approved hours are what payroll and job costing read.
Somebody not yet on the roster
Gets a card explaining it and the exact place an admin fixes it, rather than a button that does nothing.
